It is not often we find persons who are truly inspiring. As I've learned about Ted and his work from Terry, and had the chance to meet him briefly at Beacon Heights Church, I find myself very much inspired.
Ted's gift, though, is not in the inspiration that he himself provides, though that is large. The real gift is in the inspiration of the young Afghan women who are finding their voices and discovering their potential through SOLA, through Ted's dedicated work.

Solutions to Afghanistan's often seemingly intractable problems will come from educated Afghans, especially Afghan women, and cannot be imposed from the outside.
