Personal impressions about SOLA and Mr. TED!
To me SOLA is the type of school Afghans need to have. Because it gives the type of education we are unable to experience in our Afghan schools. Its atmosphere is just wonderful and ready for learning something. Go to the library, pick some books and read. Go and ask whoever is there whenever you have a problem. Everything is just ready to help you, but if you are ready to help yourself. As Ted says in his own words, "SOLA, School of Leadership comma (pause)... Afghanistan helps those who helps themselves." And he is right! It all belongs to you; the door is open, the class is ready, the chairs are empty! And I know that you are/will be ready, but the only thing you have to do is to go for it! Just go and pick up! And finally be what you were dreaming of! This is true! This is how it has worked for the other 17 people who are in the States now and who are struggling to be their own hero. Believe me guys, SOLA is the only door you were looking for! Just OPEN it!
Happy Birthday, dearest Ted Achilles, I hope you are fine and happy in the 75th spring of your life. I wish you a more happy and successful life with your family and your nice students in Afghanistan and all around the world. I do not know how to thank you for the whole fantastic works and contributions you have made to my country and my people. In my opinion, you are doing the greatest work no one else has done in my country. You are educating young adults in a very effective way and putting them on the right path of leadership! Thank you very much, Ted. Wish you a very happy birthday. I hope you have a very good year with lots of achievements! Be happy and safe!

Solutions to Afghanistan's often seemingly intractable problems will come from educated Afghans, especially Afghan women, and cannot be imposed from the outside.
